Hotel Location –

The hotel is located on  the waterfront, Salcombe Harbour Hotel offers a luxurious Spa. It is on the picturesque estuary town in the South Devon Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. It’s famous for sailing, stunning views and some of the most desirable real estate in the country.

Salcombe Wedding – Jayde and Carl asked me to photograph their wedding. I’m always thrilled to take photos at a venue that is new to me. I was really excited as this was my first time at Salcombe Hotel and Harbour and I new this was my opportunity to get some beautiful photography.

Morning of the wedding –

I arrived at approximately 08.30 and could feel the heat from the sun already burning my back through my shirt. With the combination of the weather and location, it was as if I had stepped into the mediterranean. The estuary was a lovely turquoise blue/green. It was busy with boats moving at a gentle pace. The small beaches made this location idyllic.

I arrived at the hotel apartment and looked out of the balcony window to see the views stretching across the estuary. It was very relaxed and the hair and make up commenced. Jayde and her party of ladies spent the morning drinking Prosecco and singing along to the play list they had already prepared.

It’s time to get married –

The ceremony was in the Marine room where everyone was waiting. The wedding was funny and at times a little emotional. The registrar was one of the best I had seen, he really entertained everyone. To the point, I was laughing from my belly.

Wedding reception –

After the ceremony Jayde and Carl had a glass of champagne with their family and guests on the balcony. Family portraits were captured. I then took the bride and groom away for their location shoot. The guests enjoyed a few more glasses of champagne and had canapés whilst Jayde and Carl shared a private moment together.

After, we made our way for the wedding breakfast. Speeches were fun and the cake was cut. It was a great day. Finishing with the first dance.

Here’s some photography from Jayde and Carl’s Day –
